Devastating fires, floods and other catastrophes related to climate change are evoking apocalyptic language and imagery in our heads. Aside from its biblical connotations, how does the apocalyptic narrative work in representing one of the biggest challenges of our time?

If the coronavirus has meant less air pollution, an increase in cycling and walking in some areas and an upsurge in birds singing in the trees, why isn’t anyone talking about the effects of this huge change?
